Tories and patriotism (again)
A shocking new poll shows just what lengths the Tories want to go to in order to deliver Brexit.
This tells us yet again the truth about Tories and patriotism. They do not actually care if the country falls apart. They are fine with seeing economic damage. Apart from ‘sticking it up to the Europeans’, the only thing they are concerned with is damage to their own pockets. The reality is that most are well-off so that neither the break-up of the UK nor a collapse of the UK economy will seriously affect them.
The only thing that will hit them in their pockets, destroy their privileges is a Labour government led by Jeremy Corbyn. This is why us Labour remainers should fight for one — to make sure that traitors do not prosper. To put the wreckers back into their place. It is the patriotic thing to do.
That said, those people are so dangerous, so anti-British in the selfish pursuit of their dogma, that I am personally happy to unite behind any political alliance that thwarts them — whether led by Socialists or not. This is why we need to stop bickering, stop arguing and realise the true extent of the existential threat that those Tories pose to this country and to its people.
